Cycle Design Champions are inspirational engineers and designers from within Essex Highways and ECC that have an interest in helping double the number of people cycling in Essex and want to help ensure the cycling infrastructure we design looks attractive, serves its purpose and encourages more people to cycle.

Be a champion for cycling design. Act as a cycling design reviewer to ensure cycle infrastructure designs are of appropriate/consistent standard. Sharing best practice examples from the UK and, where appropriate, encouraging the introduction of continental standard cycling facilities
